Run a GTA RP server without touching a single file
A managed FiveM server from Nova Studio is a roleplay city already installed on a running machine, kept up to date by us and set up from inside the game. You edit no config file and hire no developer: you pay, you join, you build your city.
01What managed should actually mean
Plenty of offers call themselves turnkey and hand you an archive: a framework, some scripts, a readme. You are then left to rent a machine, install everything, tune each resource in its files, and track FiveM and script updates on your own. Managed, here, means none of that lands on you.
Nova provides the FiveM RP server base, the machine that runs it and the updates, in a single subscription. Your work starts where it should: writing the rules, recruiting staff, growing a community.
02From payment to your first player, step by step
- Link your Discord account, pick a server name, then paste your Cfx.re key and your Steam Web API key. The Cfx key guide explains where to create it.
- Pay: the server creates and installs itself within minutes, with no setup fee. The return page follows its progress.
- Start it from its page. The "Join" bar gives its address, or opens FiveM directly.
- In game, your Discord account identifies you as the owner, with no code to type. A short setup has you add the Nova Discord bot to your Discord server, link it with a code typed through /link, pick the log channels and map your Discord roles to staff ranks.
- Open player slots from the site, set up your city with /admin, and welcome your first players.
03What you no longer have to do
- Rent a machine and install FiveM on it: your server runs on OVH Game dedicated servers, with OneSync Infinity and NVMe drives.
- Set up protection: OVH Game anti-DDoS, tuned for FiveM, is included.
- Open a config file: the city is set up in game, the machine from the site.
- Download and merge updates: Nova publishes them, and they apply at the next restart, database migrations included.
- Babysit restarts: a scheduled restart waits until the server is empty, and never cuts a game short.
04A no-code FiveM server, set up from inside the game
Jobs, grades, salaries, economy, items, properties and permissions are set in game by typing /admin. The in-game admin panel writes to the database and most settings apply right away. Before a change that affects players, such as a salary cut, it lists everyone concerned, online or not, with the old and the new value.
The site handles what the server reads at startup: slot count, name in the FiveM server list, language, voice and inventory. It also gives you the console, the files of your own scripts, the databases and the backups. None of it requires knowing how to code.
05What stays in your hands
Your city is yours: the rules, the staff, the balance of the economy, the atmosphere. You also keep control of your additions: your own scripts go into the resources/[client] folder from your account area, as files or as an archive, as the documentation explains.
06Managed server, freelance developer or bought pack
| Freelance developer | Bought pack | Nova | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Going live | when they have time | install it yourself | minutes after payment |
| Hosting | rented separately | rented separately | included |
| Changing a setting | ask them again | in the files | in game, with /admin |
| Updates | ordered from them | apply them yourself | at the next restart |
| Troubleshooting | if they are available | at your expense | support included |
A developer or a pack can suit a team that wants to rewrite everything. To open a city and keep it running, do the math over twelve months: what a FiveM server really costs, and the risks of a pack or a free base.
07What a managed FiveM server costs
One subscription per server, hosting, updates and support included: NOVA at €99 a month for 64 players, NOVA+ at €149 for 128 players, NOVA INFINITY at €229 for 256 players. Yearly billing charges ten months for twelve, and you can stop the subscription from your account area, at the end of the paid period.
Before the first stable version, only the plans that include beta channel access can be bought. The pricing page shows which ones are open today: that is where you launch your server.
Frequently asked questions
How long does it take to open a managed FiveM server?
A few minutes for creation and installation, which start as soon as the payment is confirmed. The in-game setup (Discord bot, log channels, staff roles) then takes a few more minutes.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. The city is set up in game with /admin and the machine from the site. Every change that affects players shows who it concerns before it is applied.
What do I need before I start?
A Discord account, a Cfx.re license key and a Steam Web API key. The Cfx key is obtained on the Cfx.re portal: Nova does not sell it.
Who handles updates?
Nova Studio. A new version applies at the next restart, or on its own as soon as the server is empty if the option is on, which it is by default.
Can I add my own scripts?
Yes, in the resources/[client] folder, from your account area, then you test them in game. Most recent scripts written for QBCore or QBox load ox_lib. ox_lib is provided by nova_lib, and no ox_lib folder exists on disk: in the fxmanifest of a script, the @ox_lib/init.lua line must be replaced with @nova_lib/shared/lib_init.lua, or the console shows "Failed to load script". Scripts written for ESX need to be adapted.
Can I stop whenever I want?
Yes, from your account area, at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid, and your server stays online until then.
